While many today believe that preaching is passe or even foolish, God is pleased to use preaching to sanctify the believer and build his faith in the power of God rather than the wisdom of man. The only source given by the Lord Jesus Christ to achieve this God-centered goal is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 4:2). Accordingly, preaching is designed to provide delight, comfort, conviction, exhortation, and instruction aimed at glorifying God and enjoying Him more fully in the context of daily life.

We also believe the Bible is God’s sufficient inerrant source of revelation to answer and deal with the individual problems associated with life in a fallen world. Modern philosophies lack both the message and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to effect change that will please and glorify God.  Our goal in counseling is not to help people back on the path to the American dream, but to guide them into the fullness of Christ’s joy as revealed in scripture.
