In the early days of the church, there was great emphasis placed on fellowship with the Lord’s people. Not only was the apostles’ doctrine vital to the life of the church, but a commitment to share and enjoy the benefits of Christian fellowship was an intricate part of church membership. The local body of believers has been called out of darkness to share in the light of God’s glorious grace. With this high calling is the privilege and joy of sharing a common bond with fellow-heirs, bearing one another’s burdens and building up our most holy faith. We seek to enjoy fellowship through routine church activities such as meals, Bible study, and frequent periods of fellowship following each of our services. We also encourage home gatherings on a smaller scale for the purpose of mutual edification and faith building (Romans 1:12). |
